Ceremonial gathering · El Valle Retreats
The voice of the earth
A ceremonial encounter in the mountains of Samaná — temazcal, fire, song, movement and water — held by two communities coming together across traditions.
The workshop
Voz de la Tierra — the voice of the earth — is a ceremonial gathering in El Valle, Samaná, held together by Nico and Margarita, who come from a regenerative village in Chile, and by Leisy's Garden here in the valley. It is a meeting of two communities and their traditions: the sweat of the temazcal, the fire and the tobaccos, songs and rituals, movement and dance — including work in the water at the sea — cacao, plant medicine, and food from the land. Across the days we weave community, meet our own truth, and remember what the earth already knows. No experience is needed — come with an open heart.

What the gathering holds
Ceremony, movement, and the elements.
The days move through the four elements — earth, fire, water, and air — in ceremony and in the body. The shape is being finalized with the guides.
Temazcal
The sweat-lodge ceremony — a womb of steam and song to release, pray, and be reborn.
Fire & the four tobaccos
A fire ceremony held with the grandfather fire and the medicine of the four tobaccos.
Water & movement
Dance and body-work on the land and in the sea — aquatic movement and work in pairs.
Song, cacao & medicine
Cantos, ritual, and ceremonial cacao — sharing the wisdom of both communities.
Who teaches it
Terra Crua
The gathering is guided by Nico and Margarita, who carry a ceremonial and regenerative practice from their village in Chile — fire, temazcal, song, and syntropic agriculture — together with Leisy García of Leisy's Garden, whose tradition centers water, song, food and medicine here in El Valle.

Good to know
Questions, answered.
Do I need experience with ceremony?+
No. Come as you are, with an open heart. The guides hold the space and explain everything as we go.
What is a temazcal?+
A temazcal is a traditional sweat-lodge ceremony — a dome of heat, steam, song and prayer, used across the Americas to cleanse and reset body and spirit.
What language is it in?+
Mainly Spanish, with English support. The guides and the El Valle team are bilingual.
Where do I stay, and what about food?+
Accommodation is a separate, optional add-on at Leisy's Garden and around El Valle — we confirm availability over WhatsApp. Food is nourishing, from the land, and we cater to dietary needs.
How do I reserve?+
Places are limited and confirmed personally — message us on WhatsApp and we'll share the details, dates, and how to hold your spot.
Why gather
Two communities, from Chile and from El Valle, meeting to share song, fire, water and food. We would rather sit with you in ceremony than explain it — the earth has a voice, and this is a space to listen.
